1968年4月12日発行の1冊。
表紙を飾るのは

この号の特集は「WEEK OF SHOCK」。
マーティン・ルーサー・キング・ジュニア暗殺事件が起き、
まさに“衝撃の週”として怒りと悲しみに包まれた
アメリカの様子が掲載されています。

ライフ誌の表紙を飾った写真の多くが
今では後世にまで残る「歴史的な一枚」になっており、
印象的な表紙はそのまま額装して飾られていることも多いです。
